In the 3rd minute Maximo Neron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebio Chuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusebio Chuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximo Neron, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Eusebio Chuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Neron in the 8th minute of play. Maximo Neron struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Eusebio Chuan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for COLON DE SANTA FE. When Jacobo Lucila came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the canarios AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacobo Lucila couldn't finish the play. Efrain Marin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, canarios AFC's Modesto Raymon got a free kick in the 26th minute. Domingos Elorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Tibalt having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Jacobo Lucila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Domingos Elorri got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to COLON DE SANTA FE getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Eriberto Sein hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Victorio Tibalt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Domingos Elorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Tibalt having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Victorio Tibalt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Lucila in the 58th minute of play. Victorio Tibalt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Lucila in the 61st minute of the match. Jacobo Lucila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximo Neron struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Eusebio Chuan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for COLON DE SANTA FE. Emilio Alvarez charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Alvarez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of COLON DE SANTA FE booed when canarios AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Alvarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusebio Chuan came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by COLON DE SANTA FE's Efrain Marin. But to his dismay, Efrain Marin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 81st minute Jacobo Lucila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Tibalt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacobo Lucila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Domingos Elorri came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the canarios AFC fans jumped to their feet. The audience thought a goal was coming when Efrain Marin got free with Eusebio Chuan in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. COLON DE SANTA FE walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
