Leandro Iratxo made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Mauricio Medina sent off a good shot on target. 38 minutes into the match, Real Palermo's goalkeeper Leandro Iratxo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauricio Medina. Erubiel Nerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Mario Ubelteso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rigoberto Cordeara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rigoberto Cordeara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mario Ubelteso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

If Rigoberto Cordeara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the game, Marcelo Iratze was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Palermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave OKTUBRE the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Real Palermo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of OKTUBRE:s goal. Feliciano Iruinea walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.
