Spectators: 7220 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Remigio Brun started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes, Cornelio Leguizamón mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Blas and the Cubanea AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Deportivo Blas getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Cornelio Leguizamón hit a great ball. After 7 played minutes Cubanea AFC got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Cordarius. In the 14th minute, Nemesio Dunixi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ignacio Astigar came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Deportivo Blas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Astigar couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the game, Ignacio Astigar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hugo Gonsalvo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 27th minute of the match Daniel Dolcet sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Gonsalvo skillfully saved the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Justo Txilar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hugo Gonsalvo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Deportivo Blas's Amancio Illart proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Blas from getting a goal against them.

After 55 played minutes Deportivo Blas got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Matxin. Amancio Illart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Brun in the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Remigio Brun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Xabat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Amancio Illart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Emanuel Xabat fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cubanea AFC's protests and gave Emanuel Xabat a yellow card for diving instead. Hugo Gonsalvo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Astigar, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Justo Txilar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Gonsalvo having to interfere. Hugo Gonsalvo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Astigar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilberto Peruanton charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberto Peruanton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cubanea AFC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Gilberto Peruanton hit a great ball. Eduardo Tadzio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 87th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The Deportivo Blas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Blas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
