An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Tuste in the 46th minute of play forced Ashes FC's goalkeeper Efrain Odilon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Dodorol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Delmiro Tuste was the one to do the kick off. Efrain Odilon was a little too slow when Delmiro Tuste got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-1. Ashes FC's Efrain Odilon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Tuste in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of The Black United booed when Ashes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Jakobe didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Black United's Delmiro Tuste got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Angelino Chabier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Odilon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Tuste, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Raul Amaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Dodorol in the 94th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. The Black United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
