An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Polentzi in the 57th minute of play forced Cubanea AFC's goalkeeper Hugo Gonsalvo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Elias Polentzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Gonsalvo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Gonsalvo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaudencio Maties's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the match, Cubanea AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Polentzi came free, but Hugo Gonsalvo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Xabat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Gaudencio Maties got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cubanea AFC's Gilberto Peruanton got a free kick in the 71st minute. Hugo Gonsalvo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Maties, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 73rdth minute of the game Gaudencio Maties who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cubanea AFC's Hugo Gonsalvo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Nemesio Lon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nemesio Lon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd match minute, Cubanea AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Valente to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Gonsalvo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Maties in the 87th minute of play. Hugo Gonsalvo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Polentzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elias Polentzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Gonsalvo having to interfere. After 93 minutes of play Cubanea AFC's Leonardo Valente was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Leonardo Valente hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. If Gaudencio Maties had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cubanea AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
