After 3 played minutes Parque Avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Teo Elija. Fernando Urtsua kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Arroyito AFC's Fermin Jerrald got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zeledon Mannuel scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aurelio Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Zeledon Mannuel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelio Azevedo. Parque Avellaneda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zeledon Mannuel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Zeledon Mannuel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelio Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Parque Avellaneda's zone, Zeledon Mannuel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Azevedo came out of the goal and Zeledon Mannuel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fermin Jerrald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Aurelio Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Parque Avellaneda:s Aurelio Azevedo showed great skill when he stopped Silvio Feliz:s penalty. Zeledon Mannuel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Parque Avellaneda's Aurelio Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Jerrald in the 37th minute of play. Aurelio Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Jerrald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Arroyito AFC booed when Parque Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Raymon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Parque Avellaneda players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Arroyito AFC were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fermin Jerrald made a kick off. A collision led to Arroyito AFC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Baldomiro Checa hit a great ball. Hernan Henry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Elija, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th match minute, Arroyito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Damario to maneuver through the defense. Zeledon Mannuel scored 0-5 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aurelio Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fermin Jerrald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Anacleto Raymon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fermin Jerrald in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelio Azevedo saved Parque Avellaneda from getting behind. 80 minutes in the game, Zeledon Mannuel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Aurelio Azevedo having to interfere. Aurelio Azevedo was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Fermin Jerrald capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fermin Jerrald really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Fernando Urtsua managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parque Avellaneda's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Urtsua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Henry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernando Urtsua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Arroyito AFC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Bernardo Damario hit a great ball. The Arroyito AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
