The audience thought a goal was coming when Sakarias Bratt got free with Aurelio Azevedo in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Parque Avellaneda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Juan Llorian was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Defes de Sarandí's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Martin Nardo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Sakarias Bratt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Azevedo having to interfere. The Los Defes de Sarandí supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Defes de Sarandí would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
