Spectators: 6665 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emilio Machado started the match with the kick off. Santos Bermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Aurelio Azevedo managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Emilia's Cecilio Elorri fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 7 minutes into the match, Parque Avellaneda's Emilio Machado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Saverio Dominic narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 11th play minutes Cecilio Elorri shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Aurelio Azevedo and just under the crossbar into goal. Santos Bermudo struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Aurelio Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Emilia. Emilio Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saverio Dominic read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Emilio Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Parque Avellaneda's Fernando Urtsua got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Cecilio Elorri fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Santos Bermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Santos Bermudo made the kick off in the second half. Virgilio Rutenio hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Aurelio Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cecilio Elorri's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the game, Santiago Matei was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Emilia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Parque Avellaneda the free kick. Santiago Matei hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Santiago Matei got his second yellow card in the match during the 58th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Parque Avellaneda's Emilio Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Edgardo Gabrio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurelio Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cecilio Elorri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Parque Avellaneda booed when Emilia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Herrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilia's Saverio Dominic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Emilia from getting a goal against them. Cecilio Elorri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelio Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Parque Avellaneda's Fernando Urtsua got a free kick in the 78th minute. Aurelio Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Elorri, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Emilio Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. When Ariel Herrera came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Emilia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ariel Herrera couldn't finish the play. Anacleto Raymon struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Saverio Dominic didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parque Avellaneda. In the 87th minute Cecilio Elorri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Emilia's zone, Fernando Urtsua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saverio Dominic came out of the goal and Fernando Urtsua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Elorri in the 94th minute of play forced Parque Avellaneda's goalkeeper Aurelio Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Parque Avellaneda's goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Elorri came free, but Aurelio Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Parque Avellaneda's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Emilia had won, even though Parque Avellaneda had held more of the ball.
