Victoriano Frascuelo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 3rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to estrella roja getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Eustaquio Gizon hit a great ball. Nicanor Ugutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victoriano Frascuelo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Conrado Martxel came out and tried to block the shot, but Victoriano Frascuelo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Victoriano Frascuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cúspide FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Victoriano Frascuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Martxel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute Inocencio Cebrian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Chepe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Cúspide FC defense, Justino Sayvion kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauro Chepe. The Cúspide FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauro Chepe should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute Nicanor Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Martxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicanor Ugutz struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Conrado Martxel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cúspide FC. With his leg Conrado Martxel managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Cúspide FC's Victoriano Frascuelo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Justino Sayvion to strike the kick off in the second half. When Lisandro Mundo fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored estrella roja's protests and gave Lisandro Mundo a yellow card for diving instead. Lisandro Mundo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cúspide FC! 61 minutes into the match, Feliberto Larpe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauro Chepe. Cúspide FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Feliberto Larpe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Victoriano Frascuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Conrado Martxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ladislao Canor hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The supporters of estrella roja booed when Cúspide FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Ted didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Victoriano Frascuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cúspide FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victoriano Frascuelo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victoriano Frascuelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Martxel having to interfere. If Nicanor Ugutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. estrella roja were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Cúspide FC's much stronger midfield.
