The supporters of Venado Tuerto F.C booed when Metaguacha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Federigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Reynardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uriel Hug in the 9th minute of the match. In the last second Jaime Reynardo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Israel Dubardo in the 11thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Venado Tuerto F.C's Elvio Leoiar got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elvio Leoiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 22 minutes, Albano Mogel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metaguacha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albano Mogel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Israel Dubardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Venado Tuerto F.C's Jaime Reynardo threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Israel Dubardo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 35 minutes into the game, Israel Dubardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jaime Reynardo. Israel Dubardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Venado Tuerto F.C's Uriel Hug got a free kick in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elvio Leoiar got free with Jaime Reynardo in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 44 played minutes Metaguacha FC got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Cordara. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute, Albano Mogel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moises Rivas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cleto Lluterio. Venado Tuerto F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Elvio Leoiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venado Tuerto F.C's Elvio Leoiar got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th match minute, Venado Tuerto F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Bingen to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Elvio Leoiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venado Tuerto F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Elvio Leoiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Reynardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Israel Dubardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteve Bingen shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After having played for 92 minutes, Israel Dubardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venado Tuerto F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Israel Dubardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Venado Tuerto F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
