Venado Tuerto F.C's Israel Dubardo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute of the match, Elvio Leoiar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dario Iban was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Elvio Leoiar might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dario Iban. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elvio Leoiar ran back to his position shaking his head. Elvio Leoiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, MatiFC's Dario Iban got control of the ball when Elvio Leoiar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venado Tuerto F.C's Elvio Leoiar came free and shot a quick shot against goal 27 minutes in the game, fortunately Dario Iban had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After 29 played minutes Israel Dubardo rounded MatiFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Jairo Pere charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Pere the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, MatiFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Pere to maneuver through the defense. After 37 played minutes, Venado Tuerto F.C's Juan Frisco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dario Iban came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Venado Tuerto F.C reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Elvio Leoiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venado Tuerto F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Elvio Leoiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dario Iban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elvio Leoiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Dario Iban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dario Iban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Israel Dubardo in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Israel Dubardo was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes MatiFC got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Eusko. Dario Iban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvio Leoiar in the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, MatiFC's goal looked a bit too open when Elvio Leoiar came free, but Dario Iban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venado Tuerto F.C's Cleto Lluterio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Venado Tuerto F.C from getting a goal against them. 71 minutes into the match, MatiFC's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Dubardo came free, but Dario Iban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute Pablo Irrintzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Lluterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Iban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Israel Dubardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in MatiFC's zone, Israel Dubardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dario Iban came out of the goal and Israel Dubardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elvio Leoiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MatiFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
