Spectators: 7177 (Terracing: 5385, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pablo Irrintzi got the match started through his kick off. Edelmiro Txordon scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dario Iban, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pablo Irrintzi took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marciano Austin. Marciano Austin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 11th minute, Mauro Eusko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 played minutes La Lavandería de Bernal got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Orland. 15 minutes into the match, La Lavandería de Bernal's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Irrintzi came free, but Marciano Austin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edelmiro Txordon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dario Iban read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Dario Iban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edelmiro Txordon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Lavandería de Bernal's Edelmiro Txordon got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Filiberto Ordono fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Lavandería de Bernal's protests and gave Filiberto Ordono a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for La Lavandería de Bernal! The referee gave MatiFC a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jairo Pere, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of La Lavandería de Bernal's Marciano Austin. 1-2. Edelmiro Txordon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Iban having to interfere. Rene Guerrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, La Lavandería de Bernal's Edelmiro Txordon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dario Iban narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rene Guerrero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Dario Iban when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edelmiro Txordon made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Edelmiro Txordon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Iban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 played minutes MatiFC got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Eusko. Cristobal Arias hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. La Lavandería de Bernal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zeledon Orland in the 61st minute. Narciso Balesio was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Edelmiro Txordon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Txordon in the 67th minute of play forced MatiFC's goalkeeper Dario Iban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Guerrero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dario Iban read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. If Rene Guerrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edelmiro Txordon in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dario Iban prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 76 played minutes MatiFC got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Irrintzi. Dario Iban came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by La Lavandería de Bernal's Edelmiro Txordon. But to his dismay, Edelmiro Txordon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 84th minute Edelmiro Txordon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Iban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Guerrero's late challenge caught a MatiFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rene Guerrero helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of MatiFC booed when La Lavandería de Bernal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Guerrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rene Guerrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Txordon in the 92nd minute of play forced MatiFC's goalkeeper Dario Iban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pablo Irrintzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Austin having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
