The audience was convinced that Bernardo Theobald's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Mergildo was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Rafael Mergildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Theobald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Ragnarsson AC's zone, Roman Silviano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Mergildo came out of the goal and Roman Silviano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 24 played minutes Ragnarsson AC got a freekick which was hit by Angel Mateus. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Bernardo Theobald sped through Ragnarsson AC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafael Mergildo. German Naelio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafael Mergildo. Ragnarsson AC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 36th minute Roman Silviano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Mergildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Cedro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Jon having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardo Theobald in the 49th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Mergildo saved Ragnarsson AC from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardo Cedro to strike the kick off in the second half. Rafael Mergildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Theobald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 56 minutes, Roman Silviano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avellaneda AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roman Silviano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arturo Quintyn during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th minute, Roman Silviano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Bernardo Cedro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Jon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Zacarias Bermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Bernardo Cedro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgardo Jon. Avellaneda AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardo Cedro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Bernardo Theobald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ragnarsson AC's goalkeeper Rafael Mergildo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Cedro in the 81st minute of play forced Avellaneda AFC's goalkeeper Edgardo Jon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th match minute, Avellaneda AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Savier to maneuver through the defense. Ragnarsson AC's Rafael Mergildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Ragnarsson AC from getting a goal against them. If Bernardo Theobald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Cleto Txema hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Mergildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Theobald in the 98th minute of the match. Ragnarsson AC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Avellaneda AFC for a fine match.
