The Apple Tree fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 40 minutes, Everardo Jatsu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LOS CANAYAS FC and the Apple Tree players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, Everardo Jatsu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Melquiades Cloyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgardo Etxahun to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Apple Tree defense, Edgardo Etxahun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Mede. The Apple Tree fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Mede should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute of the match, Alvaro Pabla got a very nice opportunity to score, but Roman Veto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
