Segundo Alfonso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eriberto Izotz went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Eriberto Izotz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verónica FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eriberto Izotz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Segundo Alfonso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Segundo Alfonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Izotz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Clodoveo Frisco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Segundo Alfonso. That made the score 2-2 in the 37 minute of play. After some careless play in the Verónica FC defense, Hugo Leizarraga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Epifanio Olo. The Verónica FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanio Olo should have stopped the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Leandro Gutierrez notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Verónica FC's Epifanio Olo. Epifanio Olo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Verónica FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Candioti were winning 2-4.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Casimiro Domenec during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Casimiro Domenec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 90 minutes, Casimiro Domenec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verónica FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casimiro Domenec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Segundo Alfonso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eriberto Izotz went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-5 was the resulting score. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Verónica FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
