Alejo Padro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Alfonso having to interfere. In the 59th minute Leandro Gutierrez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Ekaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pablo Silviano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alejo Padro came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the La Guardia Imperial fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejo Padro couldn't finish the play. Dionisio Ekaitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Candioti's Pablo Silviano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dionisio Ekaitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dionisio Ekaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Silviano in the 92nd minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
