After a rather tough play, Tala AFC's Carmelo Inguma got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 9th match minute, Tala AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Bixintxo to maneuver through the defense. Aristides Raymond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Mendiko having to interfere. The supporters of Tala AFC booed when Club Cultural Gerli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Quinito didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 minutes, Nunez Lucila mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Cultural Gerli and the Tala AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, Nunez Lucila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodosio Gora was a little too slow when Prudencio Vito got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 1-0. A collision led to Tala AFC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Prudencio Vito hit a great ball. Amadeo Salbatore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Aristides Raymond got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Club Cultural Gerli's Aristides Raymond in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tala AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Roque Mendiko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amadeo Salbatore in the 52nd minute. When Nunez Lucila was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. In the 58th minute, Nunez Lucila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodosio Gora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Vito, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Tomás Maju struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Teodosio Gora didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tala AFC. The audience was convinced that Prudencio Vito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodosio Gora was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. If Amadeo Salbatore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, Tomás Maju notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Club Cultural Gerli's Teodosio Gora. Teodosio Gora was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Club Cultural Gerli's zone, Prudencio Vito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodosio Gora came out of the goal and Prudencio Vito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Quinito in the 95th minute of play forced Tala AFC's goalkeeper Roque Mendiko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Quinito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tala AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Club Cultural Gerli for a fine match.
