Julio Peli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Iban, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When Nicasio Cordarrol fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored los troncos's protests and gave Nicasio Cordarrol a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes los troncos got a freekick which was hit by Nicasio Cordarrol. Emanuel Aballe's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arnaldo Txomin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Emanuel Aballe struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Arnaldo Txomin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for los troncos. With a little luck, Club Sportivo Barracas's Arnaldo Txomin got control of the ball when Emanuel Aballe tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club Sportivo Barracas's Dario Inge got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute, Emanuel Aballe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnaldo Txomin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Librado in the 35th minute of play forced Club Sportivo Barracas's goalkeeper Arnaldo Txomin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Txomin made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Emanuel Aballe sent off a good shot on target. Everardo Librado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Txomin having to interfere. Emanuel Aballe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Peli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nemesio Cordarryl in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Everardo Librado to strike the kick off in the second half. Arnaldo Txomin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Aballe, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Ernesto Iban was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Sportivo Barracas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave los troncos the free kick. A collision led to Club Sportivo Barracas getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Ernesto Iban hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute Honorio Millan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Peli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Barracas's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Ofelio came free, but Arnaldo Txomin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Emanuel Aballe came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the los troncos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Aballe couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Ofelio in the 67th minute of play forced Club Sportivo Barracas's goalkeeper Arnaldo Txomin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Sportivo Barracas's Arnaldo Txomin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Cordarrol in the 82nd minute of play. los troncos's Julio Peli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save los troncos from getting a goal against them. los troncos were furious when Mario Aurken was red carded, 85 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 85th match minute, los troncos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Aurken to maneuver through the defense.
