The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guillermo Manilan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Sein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siro Argenis having to interfere. Guillermo Manilan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Atraucó FC's Alejo Handi got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atraucó FC's Norberto Vargas got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Urbano Txindoki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidoro Gonsalvo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Siro Argenis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute of the match Branca Unico FC got a corner. Atraucó FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filomeno Silvino ran over to the corner to take the kick. Urbano Txindoki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejo Handi in the 34th minute of the match. Norberto Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Siro Argenis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Sein in the 40th minute of play. Guillermo Manilan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Siro Argenis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Alejo Handi made the kick off in the second half. Guillermo Manilan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Urbano Txindoki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alejo Handi's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes Branca Unico FC got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Marin. Norberto Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Urbano Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Branca Unico FC's goalkeeper Urbano Txindoki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Vargas. Guillermo Manilan struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Siro Argenis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Branca Unico FC. After 65 played minutes Branca Unico FC got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Marin. Guillermo Manilan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siro Argenis having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Julio Sein left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Branca Unico FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Norberto Vargas took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Urbano Txindoki. Urbano Txindoki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With his leg Urbano Txindoki managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Atraucó FC's Felix Jaizki fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Norberto Vargass short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Urbano Txindoki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Atraucó FC's goalkeeper Siro Argenis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
