The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Aldo Elixio managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Zuberbühler's Angelo Gomesano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Taringa FC's Aldo Elixio got control of the ball when Pascual Gai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aldo Elixio made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Pascual Gai sent off a good shot on target. Zuberbühler's Angelo Gomesano got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Israel Hug ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aldo Elixio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Rodrigo Quinton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Clis in the 29th minute of the match. A collision led to Zuberbühler getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Israel Hug hit a great ball. Israel Hug blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aldo Elixio having to make a save. 39 minutes into the match, Taringa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Gomesano came free, but Aldo Elixio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pascual Gai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Elixio having to interfere. Rodrigo Quinton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Sotil in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angelo Gomesano was the one to do the kick off. Rodrigo Quinton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Clis in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Feliciano Sotil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rodrigo Quinton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Niceto Clis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Taringa FC's Niceto Clis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. In the 77th minute, Vicente Balasi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niceto Clis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pascual Gai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Elixio having to interfere.
