Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Santiago Guerau started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Honorato Ofelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Jerardo came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Zuberbühler's Pascual Gai. But to his dismay, Pascual Gai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Honorato Ofelio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Rodrigo Quinton made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Zuberbühler's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Honorato Ofelio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rafael Jerardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelo Gomesano's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 26 minutes into the match, Zuberbühler's Angelo Gomesano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafael Jerardo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With 31 minutes on the clock, Rafael Lauaxeta commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Zuberbühler a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Federico Maurin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rayo Cruel's Rafael Jerardo. 0-2. When Honorato Ofelio came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Rayo Cruel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Ofelio couldn't finish the play. Angelo Gomesano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Rafael Jerardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Gomesano to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Saverio Sindo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zuberbühler's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rayo Cruel the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, Zuberbühler was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Sindo to maneuver through the defense. After 60 played minutes Zuberbühler got a freekick which was hit by Federico Maurin. Angelo Gomesano might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Jerardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angelo Gomesano ran back to his position shaking his head. When Honorato Ofelio came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Rayo Cruel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Ofelio couldn't finish the play. If Santiago Guerau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Quinton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Ofelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute Guillermo Abella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Quinton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apolo Eneas kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Santiago Guerau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Honorato Ofelio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliseo Rivero kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
