Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Higinio Tancredo started the match with the kick off. Ladislao Lamberto kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute, one of Estudiantes de La Plata:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Estudiantes de La Plata. Serafin Fortun walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Marcelo Pitin took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nunez Tercero. Nunez Tercero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Reading a Book's Marcelo Pitin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nunez Tercero. That made the score 2-0 after 10 minutes of play. Christian Gasteiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Tancredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When Teodoro Txatxu came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Reading a Book fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Txatxu couldn't finish the play. Christian Gasteiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Vedillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Aquilino Mannie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de La Plata's zone, Marcelo Pitin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nunez Tercero came out of the goal and Marcelo Pitin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 23 minutes, Higinio Tancredo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estudiantes de La Plata and the Reading a Book players grew even worse after the yellow card. Higinio Tancredo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Teodoro Txatxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santiago Lorencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Serafin Fortun hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The supporters of Reading a Book booed when Estudiantes de La Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Tancredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodoro Txatxu took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nunez Tercero. Nunez Tercero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Teodoro Txatxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Reading a Book booed when Estudiantes de La Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Libertad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reading a Book's Santiago Lorencio got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santiago Lorencio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de La Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Txatxu came free, but Nunez Tercero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de La Plata's Felix Libertad got a free kick in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Txatxu in the 54th minute of play forced Estudiantes de La Plata's goalkeeper Nunez Tercero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Lorencio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nunez Tercero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Lorencio in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nunez Tercero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santiago Lorencio took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nunez Tercero. Nunez Tercero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Teodoro Txatxu might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nunez Tercero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodoro Txatxu ran back to his position shaking his head. Teodoro Txatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Tercero having to interfere. Estudiantes de La Plata's Nunez Tercero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Lorencio in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of Reading a Book booed when Estudiantes de La Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Vedillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodoro Txatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Tercero having to interfere. Santiago Lorencio struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Nunez Tercero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reading a Book. Orlando Beltxe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Tercero having to interfere. Santiago Lorencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Tercero having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Marcelo Pitin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Marcelo Pitin notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Estudiantes de La Plata's Nunez Tercero. Nunez Tercero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 95 minutes into the match, Santiago Lorencio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nunez Tercero. Estudiantes de La Plata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santiago Lorencio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Reading a Book fully deserved thier win.
