Spectators: 7169 (Terracing: 5410, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Constantino Oliveiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bernardino Mantzio might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Abaunza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardino Mantzio ran back to his position shaking his head. Leon Abaunza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Mantzio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mitre FC booed when Ateneo Estrada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Honrio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mitre FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Jaizki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Ateneo Estrada's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Mantzio came free, but Leon Abaunza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Bertran who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Alfredo Jaizki when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 18 played minutes Mitre FC got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Ur. Christian Bertran struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Alfredo Jaizki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ateneo Estrada. Christian Bertran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Alfredo Jaizki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Israel Nayely recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Israel Nayely received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Leon Abaunza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Israel Nayely in the 44th minute of play forced Ateneo Estrada's goalkeeper Leon Abaunza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardino Mantzio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Israel Nayely to make the kick off. Alfredo Jaizki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Oliveiro in the 53rd minute of play. Pastor Koldo charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pastor Koldo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th match minute, Ateneo Estrada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Koldo to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Ateneo Estrada's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Nayely came free, but Leon Abaunza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Israel Nayely came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Mitre FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Israel Nayely couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ateneo Estrada's zone, Bernardino Mantzio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Abaunza came out of the goal and Bernardino Mantzio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eliseo Arnau hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Christian Bertran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Bernardino Mantzio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mitre FC's Alfredo Jaizki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Oliveiro in the 81st minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 82nd minute by Israel Nayely got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Constantino Oliveiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Alfredo Jaizki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Christian Bertran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
