Spectators: 7323 (Terracing: 5494, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elpidio Urbes started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, GoNzA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Oso to maneuver through the defense. After 4 played minutes Independencia got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Darien. Mariano Carlomagno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Argenis in the 5th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Independencia's goal looked a bit too open when Atilano Distiratsu came free, but Mariano Carlomagno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atilano Distiratsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Mariano Carlomagno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Teodoro Burutzagi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Rexino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Elpidio Urbes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. If Elpidio Urbes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, GoNzA FC's Alfonso Ortzi got a free kick in the 29th minute. Adolfo Rexino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Urbes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, GoNzA FC's Adolfo Rexino got control of the ball when Epifanio Basajaun tried to sneak it across the goal line. GoNzA FC's Adolfo Rexino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save GoNzA FC from getting a goal against them. Teodoro Burutzagi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 40th playminute. In the 44th minute, one of GoNzA FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for GoNzA FC. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Godfredo Argenis to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Teodoro Burutzagi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Burutzagi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adolfo Rexino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Burutzagi in the 58th minute of play. Adolfo Rexino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Basajaun in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, Independencia's Elpidio Urbes made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adolfo Rexino was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Independencia getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Nestor Mano hit a great ball. After 71st play minutes Epifanio Basajaun shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Adolfo Rexino and just under the crossbar into goal. Teodoro Burutzagi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Adolfo Rexino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elpidio Urbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodoro Burutzagi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute of the match Benedicto Darien sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adolfo Rexino skillfully saved the ball. Teodoro Burutzagi might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolfo Rexino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodoro Burutzagi ran back to his position shaking his head. Epifanio Basajaun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolfo Rexino having to make a save. In the 96th minute of the match Benedicto Darien sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adolfo Rexino skillfully saved the ball. Independencia's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
