An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Banegas in the 12th minute of play forced TigreMatador's goalkeeper Bernardino Rami to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Israel Lazcano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ricardo Fort's supporters rose to their feet, but Israel Lazcano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardino Rami breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Fort's Efrain Banegas got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, TigreMatador's Augusto Petrigai got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Israel Lazcano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, TigreMatador's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Banegas came free, but Bernardino Rami reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Israel Lazcano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The TigreMatador players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ricardo Fort were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erubiel Belarmo made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erubiel Belarmo in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavio Maureo saved Ricardo Fort from getting behind. Bernardino Rami made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Banegas in the 61st minute of play. Joel Monte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Bernardino Rami tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Erubiel Hibai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Maureo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erubiel Hibai might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octavio Maureo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erubiel Hibai ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Erubiel Belarmo managed to get in a good position for a shot. After 77 played minutes Ricardo Fort got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Noe. Jacobo Vedillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 83 minutes, Erubiel Belarmo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TigreMatador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erubiel Belarmo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Erubiel Belarmo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ricardo Fort's Octavio Maureo. Octavio Maureo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Israel Lazcano came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Ricardo Fort fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Israel Lazcano couldn't finish the play. Efrain Banegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Bernardino Rami tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Ricardo Fort could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than TigreMatador throughout the match.
