Andres Toro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Banegas in the 31st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ricardo Fort's zone, German Oidor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Maureo came out of the goal and German Oidor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when German Oidor made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Ricardo Fort's Israel Lazcano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andres Toro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andres Toro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Israel Lazcano in the 54th minute. Efrain Banegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Toro having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Israel Lazcano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ricardo Fort's supporters rose to their feet, but Israel Lazcano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andres Toro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavio Maureo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If German Oidor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Israel Lazcano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Toro having to interfere. Andres Toro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efrain Banegas in the 81st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, German Oidor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colonia Urquiza's supporters rose to their feet, but German Oidor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Maureo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Octavio Maureo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Oidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that German Oidor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavio Maureo was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
