Julio Truylos hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Zeledon Hernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amador Conrao's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Chorache read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Hernandez in the 21st minute of play forced Estudiantes Rio IV's goalkeeper Jonas Olando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Deportivo Pacuzito fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Deportivo Pacuzito's Iker Heli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Amador Conrao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Rosalio in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Olando saved Estudiantes Rio IV from getting behind. When Leon Pirro came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Estudiantes Rio IV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Pirro couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Timo was the one to do the kick off. Estudiantes Rio IV's Jonas Olando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Estudiantes Rio IV from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Estudiantes Rio IV booed when Deportivo Pacuzito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Hernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raimundo Rosalio struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jonas Olando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Pacuzito. Leon Pirro kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Cleto Hanni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Pacuzito's supporters rose to their feet, but Cleto Hanni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Olando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raimundo Rosalio in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Olando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Rosalio in the 91st minute of play forced Estudiantes Rio IV's goalkeeper Jonas Olando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deportivo Pacuzito played a much better game than Estudiantes Rio IV and deserved their victory. The Estudiantes Rio IV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
