Maximino Gelmiro hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Arenaza FC's Faustino Roderigo tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Arenaza FC's Emiliano Donzel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Mancio in the 30th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Angelo Opilano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute Leon Chago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Pelagius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Mancio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Emiliano Donzel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Arenaza FC's Norberto Txartiko got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquin Faron to strike the kick off in the second half. Rolando Gasteiz's late challenge caught a El Marques's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Mariano Bertin fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arenaza FC's protests and gave Mariano Bertin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st match minute, Arenaza FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Bertin to maneuver through the defense.
