The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dionisio Cresitobalo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Natalio Gutierrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Rene Pelayo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Avellaneda FC's Dionisio Cresitobalo didn't even have to move. Independiente de Caseros's Benigno Oskarbi got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dionisio Cresitobalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Oskarbi, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Gilberto Columbo kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After 21 minutes Independiente de Caseros's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nunez Montel who took care of the corner kick. Dionisio Cresitobalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Oskarbi in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, Avellaneda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marciano Romero to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Independiente de Caseros's Rene Pelayo tried to score from far away in the 26th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Edgard Bizi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Frantzes having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Natalio Gutierrez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avellaneda FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Natalio Gutierrez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Frantzes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dionisio Cresitobalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benigno Oskarbi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dionisio Cresitobalo came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente de Caseros's Gerardo Tano. But to his dismay, Gerardo Tano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerardo Tano to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match, Benigno Oskarbi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dionisio Cresitobalo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gerardo Tano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Dionisio Cresitobalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Independiente de Caseros's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Gutierrez came free, but Marcelo Frantzes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Benigno Oskarbi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente de Caseros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benigno Oskarbi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benigno Oskarbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gerardo Tano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Dionisio Cresitobalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dionisio Cresitobalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Tano in the 75th minute of the match. After 77 minutes, Fausto Leobardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independiente de Caseros and the Avellaneda FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th minute, Fausto Leobardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute, Edgard Bizi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Avellaneda FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Marciano Romero hit a great ball. Independiente de Caseros's Marcelo Frantzes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Gutierrez in the 86th minute of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Natalio Gutierrez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avellaneda FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natalio Gutierrez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelo Frantzes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Bizi in the 97th minute of play. Benigno Oskarbi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Cresitobalo having to interfere.
