Jonas Liher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Jakue, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 15th minute Tomás Jakue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Liher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eleuterio Frasquito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rene Rojelio went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 22 minutes, Tomás Jakue managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Charlotte Hornets's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Jakue was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomás Jakue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Liher having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Arturo Ferman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomás Jakue struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jonas Liher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charlotte Hornets. If Tomás Jakue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Americo Kelemen in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Liher saved Joyango from getting behind. Americo Kelemen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonas Liher having to make a save. Jonas Liher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Jakue in the 37th minute of the match. When Nemesio Constancio fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Charlotte Hornets's protests and gave Nemesio Constancio a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Charlotte Hornets got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Constancio. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Charlotte Hornets's goalkeeper Eleuterio Frasquito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eleuterio Frasquito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rene Rojelio went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Americo Kelemen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Erubiel Abeijon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eleuterio Frasquito. Charlotte Hornets's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Americo Kelemen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Charlotte Hornets's supporters rose to their feet, but Americo Kelemen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Liher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anier Mikolas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Eleuterio Frasquito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nemesio Constancio kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Rene Rojelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, Charlotte Hornets's Tomás Jakue sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonas Liher narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arturo Ferman hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The supporters of Charlotte Hornets booed when Joyango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Ferman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Anier Mikolas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eleuterio Frasquito was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Rene Rojelio struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Eleuterio Frasquito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joyango. In the 96th minute of the match Joyango got a corner. Charlotte Hornets's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Isidoro Fidencio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Joyango's Isaias Salomone to a score. 5-0 in the 97th minute. Charlotte Hornets's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
