When Clodoveo Ostots came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the FC Yupanqui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clodoveo Ostots couldn't finish the play. The supporters of FC Yupanqui booed when Balticos Athletic Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Gora didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Yupanqui's Cipriano Jobo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Ekain in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute of the match Balticos Athletic Club got a corner. FC Yupanqui's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marciano Demesio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Constantino Cidro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Jobo having to interfere. Cipriano Jobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Ekain, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ramon Ekain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A wasted opportunity for Balticos Athletic Club. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Constantino Cidro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balticos Athletic Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantino Cidro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Jobo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
