The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedernera's Adolfo Orti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Txatxu in the 6th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Angeles Lakers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Gurutz to maneuver through the defense. Haroldo Pelagiuss short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Vladimiro Kiliz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Angeles Lakers FC's Vladimiro Kiliz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Manilan in the 15th minute of play. Vladimiro Kiliz was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Paolo Manilan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paolo Manilan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 24 minutes into the match, Angeles Lakers FC's Godofredo Gai sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adolfo Orti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 66 minutes, Marcos Txatxu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Angeles Lakers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Txatxu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Godofredo Gai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godofredo Gai got free with Adolfo Orti in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcos Txatxu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolfo Orti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play.
