Elpidio Cordaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Cugat, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When Vladimiro Gil fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edding FC's protests and gave Vladimiro Gil a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Vladimiro Gil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mesada AFC's Oscar Cugat got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Placido Arias made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nereo Oihan during the 51st minute. In the 63rd minute of the match, Oscar Cugat got a very nice opportunity to score, but Elpidio Cordaro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 65 minutes, Mauricio Gustau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mesada AFC and the Edding FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 71 minutes, Oscar Cugat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mesada AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Cugat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Justo Panpili received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Cugat couldn't finish the play. The Mesada AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
