The Eternal Losers fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Eternal Losers's Albano Pero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hernan Iaki charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Geronimo Ereinotz sped through Edding FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Elpidio Cordaro. After a defensive mix-up in Edding FC's zone, Albano Pero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Cordaro came out of the goal and Albano Pero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute Geronimo Ereinotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Cordaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elpidio Cordaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justo Quintyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 41 played minutes Eternal Losers got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Etxahun. Elpidio Cordaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Fidele in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Eternal Losers were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iker Romildo made a kick off. When Israel Celio came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Eternal Losers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Israel Celio couldn't finish the play. Geronimo Ereinotz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elpidio Cordaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Iker Romildo hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Geronimo Ereinotz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elpidio Cordaro having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Justo Quintyn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eternal Losers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justo Quintyn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Edding FC's Elpidio Cordaro got control of the ball when Justo Quintyn tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute Albano Pero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Cordaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aquilino Medardo struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Eduardo Leguizamón didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edding FC. After a defensive mix-up in Edding FC's zone, Ramon Fidele stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Cordaro came out of the goal and Ramon Fidele tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Justo Quintyn who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Elpidio Cordaro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Elpidio Cordaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle sounded Eternal Losers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Edding FC.
