The coaching staff of Boca Juniors protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Eloy Bilbo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Boca Juniors:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Puyel:s goal. Boca Juniors:s Isaias Lope showed great skill when he stopped Romeo Laurin:s penalty. Puyel's Iker Gonchan suffered a concussion in the 16th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ambrosio Paul during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Puyel made a substitution. After 37 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Basualdo. 43 minutes into the game, Pastor Valerio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boca Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Puyel the free kick. The supporters of Puyel booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Valerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nemesio Checa made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Boca Juniors's Robustiano Basualdo.

The wind increased when Cristo Lando made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Puyel getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Nemesio Checa hit a great ball. Puyel's Victorio Milian was substituted for Romeo Laurin. In the 55th minute, Javier Koldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Urtzi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 93rdth minute of the game Cristo Lando who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Puyel's Gustavo Urtzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Boca Juniors fully deserved thier win.
