After having played for 6 minutes, Cornelio Laurin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MESSI FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornelio Laurin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esteban Eleazar charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Edwardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Julio Ferrando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MESSI FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Puerta FC the free kick. The supporters of Puerta FC booed when MESSI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Oidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Puerta FC's zone, Cornelio Laurin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paolo Rosio came out of the goal and Cornelio Laurin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
