Roberto Itzaina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisito Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Itzaina stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luisito Cruz's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Aquiles Football Club's Santos Gabon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roberto Itzaina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 28th minute Luisito Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Itzaina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedermar AFC's Roberto Itzaina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Cruz in the 40th minute of play. When Santos Gabon came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Aquiles Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santos Gabon couldn't finish the play. Ramon Osorio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Mateo in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luisito Cruz was the one to do the kick off. Hilario Galoer charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hilario Galoer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Aquiles Football Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! Teodoro Casomiro charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodoro Casomiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Pedermar AFC's Teodoro Casomiro got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd match minute, Aquiles Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Gabon to maneuver through the defense. Santos Gabons short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Roberto Itzaina to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Pedermar AFC's Roberto Itzaina got control of the ball when Santos Gabon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedermar AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Luisito Cruz scored to the left of an out of position Roberto Itzaina, making the score, 1-2. After 73 minutes, Luisito Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aquiles Football Club and the Pedermar AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luisito Cruz hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Roberto Itzaina came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Aquiles Football Club's Santos Gabon. But to his dismay, Santos Gabon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 87th minute, Bruno Tauro made a precise shot to the right of Roberto Itzaina. Pedermar AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 92nd minute, Santos Gabon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aquiles Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. If Santos Gabon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Aquiles Football Club players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
