Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Diego Caradaro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ernesto Stephen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Walme in the 8th minute of play. Vladimiro Goizeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ernesto Stephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruben Walme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto Stephen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruben Walme went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Diego Caradaro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without German Phelipe having to make a save. Alejo Sustrai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Phelipe having to interfere. If Alejo Sustrai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Caradaro in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of German Phelipe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, NY Red Bulls's Anacleto Aballe got a free kick in the 34th minute. When Alejo Sustrai came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Cuchilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejo Sustrai couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, Cuchilla's Eliseo Lauren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that German Phelipe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. German Phelipe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Caradaro in the 42nd minute of the match. Alejo Sustrai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
If Vladimiro Goizeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, NY Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Caradaro came free, but German Phelipe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. German Phelipe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Caradaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute, Ruben Walme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Vladimiro Goizeder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NY Red Bulls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimiro Goizeder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Transito's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ernesto Stephen firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 83 minutes of play, Cuchilla's Alejo Sustrai made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. German Phelipe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ruben Walme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruben Walme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Stephen having to interfere. Eliseo Lauren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
