In the 36th minute, Paulino Checa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Severino Pagomari was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 48 minutes into the game, Prospero Tancredo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Serafino Bela was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulino Checa to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, El Rojo de Mardel's Severino Pagomari got control of the ball when Luisito Tauro tried to sneak it across the goal line.
