Severo Igon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Federico Victoro's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Cristobal Loreto struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Nereo Pueblo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.C Lila Carrique. Teo Maria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Pueblo having to interfere. Cristobal Loreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nereo Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Arturo Eutor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xeneizes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Eutor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nereo Pueblo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Loreto in the 35th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Teo Maria notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Xeneizes's Nereo Pueblo. Nereo Pueblo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Xeneizes's zone, Teo Maria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Pueblo came out of the goal and Teo Maria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute Cristobal Loreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Pueblo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Federico Victoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristobal Loreto to strike the kick off in the second half.
