The supporters of Gavilán AFC booed when Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustaquio Quirze didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 played minutes, Gavilán AFC's Saverio Medardo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Saverio Bladi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gavilán AFC reached it. 13 minutes into the match, Cirilo Eate had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Saverio Bladi. Avellaneda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cirilo Eate was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Rosendo Frascuelo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Eustaquio Quirze took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bruno Marques. Gavilán AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ramon Intxixu scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Marques, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Saverio Bladi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Valente in the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Gavilán AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Anacleto Fiz came free, but Bruno Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramon Intxixu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudio Casomiro hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julian Telo during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Avellaneda getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Julian Telo hit a great ball. In the 36th minute, Conrado Etxepare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The attack was good, but when Julian Telo in the 44th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Eustaquio Quirze kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Telo was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Julian Telo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bruno Marques saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Saverio Bladi came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Gavilán AFC's Cirilo Eate. But to his dismay, Cirilo Eate quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Julian Telo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Bruno Marques when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Joel Jakue's late challenge caught a Gavilán AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Jakue helped the player get up and apologised. Anacleto Fiz hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the game, Gavilán AFC's Silvano Chabier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saverio Bladi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Julian Telo struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Bruno Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avellaneda. Saverio Bladi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saverio Bladi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Valente in the 93rd minute of the match. Avellaneda's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
