An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Obano in the 8th minute of play forced Aldao AFC's goalkeeper Baltasar Montes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Maximiliano Cerilo came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Aldao AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Cerilo couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the game, riverjony's Tobias Gaitan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baltasar Montes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 23 minutes into the game, Luciano Cisco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Baltasar Montes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 30 minutes into the game, Aldao AFC's Maximiliano Cerilo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernesto Valente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. When Maximiliano Cerilo fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aldao AFC's protests and gave Maximiliano Cerilo a yellow card for diving instead. Maximiliano Cerilo kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Ernesto Valente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Dolfos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Tobias Gaitan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Mario Manuelo from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Ernesto Valente's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.

In the 60th minute, Genaro Dolfos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of riverjony booed when Aldao AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Endura didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Arnoldo Obano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximiliano Cerilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Valente having to interfere. Genaro Dolfos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnoldo Obano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Baltasar Montes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aldao AFC's Mario Manuelo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 88th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for riverjony. Genaro Dolfos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Valente having to interfere. Genaro Dolfos struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ernesto Valente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aldao AFC. After having played for 94 minutes, Genaro Dolfos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aldao AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Dolfos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aldao AFC's Abelardo Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernesto Valente came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Aldao AFC's Genaro Dolfos. But to his dismay, Genaro Dolfos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2.
