After a defensive mix-up in Navia's zone, Teofilo Quintyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Tirso came out of the goal and Teofilo Quintyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Teofilo Quintyn put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alvaro Tirso. 44 minutes into the match, Deportivo Madera's Geronimo Johans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alvaro Tirso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Teofilo Quintyn might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvaro Tirso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teofilo Quintyn ran back to his position shaking his head. 48 minutes into the match, Teofilo Quintyn notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Navia's Alvaro Tirso. Alvaro Tirso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergei Kanner in the 55th minute of play forced Navia's goalkeeper Alvaro Tirso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Hondo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Teofilo Quintyn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Navia's Alvaro Tirso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Navia's Alvaro Tirso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynardo Cerrillo in the 67th minute of play. If Teofilo Quintyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 69th minute, Teofilo Quintyn made a precise shot to the right of Alvaro Tirso. Navia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teofilo Quintyn in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvaro Tirso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the match, Teofilo Quintyn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvaro Tirso. Navia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teofilo Quintyn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. 79 minutes into the game, Teofilo Quintyn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Alvaro Tirso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alvaro Tirso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teofilo Quintyn went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. 89 minutes into the game, Deportivo Madera's Sergei Kanner nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvaro Tirso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-0. After some careless play in the Navia defense, Teofilo Quintyn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Tirso. The audience was convinced that Teofilo Quintyn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alvaro Tirso was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
