Spectators: 6659 (Terracing: 5001, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zacarias Hever started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Siro Oroitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palmitas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Siro Oroitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Epifanio Blanco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Siro Oroitz came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Palmitas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Oroitz couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the game, Palmitas FC's Vladimiro Froila nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Epifanio Blanco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Aurelio Berto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Crispo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Siro Oroitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Epifanio Blanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vladimiro Froila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Epifanio Blanco made a huge save. Epifanio Blanco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siro Oroitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Javier Crispo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Javier Crispo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Zacarias Hever shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Berto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for C.A. Independiente! The referee gave Palmitas FC a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cristobal Faro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of C.A. Independiente's Epifanio Blanco. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Siro Oroitz to make the kick off. When Emilio Esiquio fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. Independiente's protests and gave Emilio Esiquio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Palmitas FC booed when C.A. Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Esiquio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Javier Crispo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Seber's late challenge caught a C.A. Independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Seber helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Palmitas FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Seber. Zacarias Hever received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Aurelio Berto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marcos Seber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Siro Oroitz in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Epifanio Blanco saved C.A. Independiente from getting behind. 64 minutes into the match, Javier Crispo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aurelio Berto, 2-1. Vladimiro Froila might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Epifanio Blanco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vladimiro Froila ran back to his position shaking his head. Siro Oroitz scored 3-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Epifanio Blanco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Epifanio Blanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Froila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurelio Berto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Javier Crispo in the 89th minute. Virgilio Caradaro walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a defensive mix-up in Palmitas FC's zone, Zacarias Hever stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Berto came out of the goal and Zacarias Hever tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Palmitas FC had won after a very even match.
