The referee gave Que Lio Messi F.C. a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Justino Ritchie, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of IAN FC's Ruben Kinsen. 0-1. After 12 minutes, Bernardo Diagur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Que Lio Messi F.C. and the IAN FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bernardo Diagur kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Que Lio Messi F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Guillem came free, but Dionisio Roldan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Melquiades Urtsua in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruben Kinsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute, Jose Rio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dionisio Roldan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to IAN FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Conrado Piearres hit a great ball. If Melquiades Urtsua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cosme Valiente scored 1-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruben Kinsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Que Lio Messi F.C.'s Bernardo Diagur got his second yellow card of the match in the 44th minute. The referee ordered Bernardo Diagur off the ground. After a defensive mix-up in Que Lio Messi F.C.'s zone, Uriel Guillem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dionisio Roldan came out of the goal and Uriel Guillem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Que Lio Messi F.C. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Uriel Guillem made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Que Lio Messi F.C. getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Melquiades Urtsua hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute, Jose Rio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Melquiades Urtsua kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes IAN FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Cordara. When Melquiades Urtsua came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Que Lio Messi F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Urtsua couldn't finish the play. Cosme Valiente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Cosme Valiente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Que Lio Messi F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Cosme Valiente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Kinsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Rio in the 91st minute of play forced Que Lio Messi F.C.'s goalkeeper Dionisio Roldan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Que Lio Messi F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
