Albano Maore hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Rene Jurdan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Baldomiro Mattin. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. After 15 played minutes 5 AM got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Iruinea. Peña AFC's Rene Jurdan got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ermegildo Erlantz succeeded in the game's 20th minute to get real power on a long shot . Peña AFC's Honorato Viviano hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-1! Baldomiro Mattin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximino Salomon in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Peña AFC's Rene Jurdan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baldomiro Mattin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Evelio Tanio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorato Viviano having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Rene Jurdan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baldomiro Mattin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baldomiro Mattin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximino Salomon in the 40th minute. If Bernardo Urdaspal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evelio Tanio made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Maximino Salomon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peña AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximino Salomon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomiro Mattin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rene Jurdan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximino Salomon struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Baldomiro Mattin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peña AFC. Baldomiro Mattin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Jurdan in the 58th minute of play. When Cirilo Gutierrez fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peña AFC's protests and gave Cirilo Gutierrez a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave 5 AM a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ermegildo Erlantz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Peña AFC's Honorato Viviano. 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in 5 AM's zone, Rene Jurdan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomiro Mattin came out of the goal and Rene Jurdan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 5 AM's Baldomiro Mattin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Jurdan in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Jurdan in the 86th minute of play forced 5 AM's goalkeeper Baldomiro Mattin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Maximino Salomon came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Peña AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximino Salomon couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, Peña AFC's Rene Jurdan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baldomiro Mattin narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
