The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 2nd minute, one of Veremi Fultra:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Veremi Fultra. Hipolito Roderigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Cordairo having to interfere. In the 15th minute Hipolito Roderigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Cordairo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidoro Lizer got free with Francisco Rocendo in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saul Jerano in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alejo Cordairo saved Veremi Fultra from getting behind. Isidoro Lizer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 37 played minutes Veremi Fultra got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Inocente. Hipolito Roderigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidro Gora during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Isidoro Lizer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tobias Salvino made the kick off in the second half. When Hipolito Roderigo came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Zárate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hipolito Roderigo couldn't finish the play. Tobias Salvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Alejo Cordairo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Hipolito Roderigo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alejo Cordairo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Alejo Cordairo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Salvino, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Isidoro Lizer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Elvio Montxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Isidoro Lizer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute Isidoro Lizer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Rocendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Lizer in the 76th minute of play forced Zárate's goalkeeper Francisco Rocendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hipolito Roderigo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alejo Cordairo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Isidoro Lizer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the game, Elvio Montxo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Veremi Fultra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zárate the free kick. The supporters of Zárate booed when Veremi Fultra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Montxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Zárate got a corner. Veremi Fultra's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ramon Mateo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Roberto Hotz got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-3. 93 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the game, Veremi Fultra's Isidoro Lizer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco Rocendo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Zárate were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Veremi Fultra's much stronger midfield.
