Sociedad de Fomento's Celso Huly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Oliverios in the 21st minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Huly prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

51 minutes into the match, Ferro de Pico's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Incendio came free, but Alfonso Sal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Behe hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Rogelio Oliverios spun around in front of the goal 56 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Sociedad de Fomento's goal. When Isidro Florinio came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Ferro de Pico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidro Florinio couldn't finish the play. Tadeo Rios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Sal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Jimeno Incendio notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ferro de Pico's Alfonso Sal. Alfonso Sal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 89th minute Rogelio Oliverios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Huly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimeno Incendio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Sal having to interfere. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ferro de Pico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Higinio Garaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Sociedad de Fomento's players had a chance to rest. Zacarias Fagondo thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Alfonso Sal, a very annoying self made goal in the 95th minute which led to 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ferro de Pico players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sociedad de Fomento.
