In the 4thth minute of the game Rodrigo Fidele who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Las Bestias FC's Apolo Admon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Gogo Bembe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mattaldi AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gogo Bembe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apolo Admon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eleuterio Mitxel during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Las Bestias FC's zone, Rodrigo Fidele stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Admon came out of the goal and Rodrigo Fidele tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd match minute, Las Bestias FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Urtsua to maneuver through the defense. Ermegildo Rufio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Estevon in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Fidele in the 32nd minute of play forced Las Bestias FC's goalkeeper Apolo Admon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Fidele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Admon having to interfere. If Rodrigo Fidele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rodrigo Fidele made the kick off in the second half. Freddy Abalos charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee gave Sebastian Urtsua a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Sebastian Urtsua hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. If Silvestre Karlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mattaldi AFC's goalkeeper Ermegildo Rufio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ermegildo Rufio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnoldo Estevon's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. After 74 played minutes Mattaldi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Flavio Garaona. The crowd rose to their feet as Mattaldi AFC's Rodrigo Fidele slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Apolo Admon. That made the score 1-1 after 85 minutes of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Rodrigo Fidele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mattaldi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Fidele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Mattaldi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Teobaldo Matro came free, but Ermegildo Rufio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mattaldi AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
