The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Isaac Millrick fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honor y Gloria FC's protests and gave Isaac Millrick a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Isaac Millrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute of the match Adrian Leheren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Errolan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the match, PENAYOFC's goal looked a bit too open when Isaac Millrick came free, but Alfredo Intxixu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herminio Eliu in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Errolan saved Honor y Gloria FC from getting behind. Adrian Leheren kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. A hard shot by Blas Jerico from long distance, 18 minutes into the match, got Alfredo Intxixu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Sustrai in the 20th minute of play forced PENAYOFC's goalkeeper Alfredo Intxixu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Intxixu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Millrick in the 22nd minute of the match. Dante Errolan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herminio Eliu's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. When PENAYOFC's Herminio Eliu in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tomás Ekain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Dante Errolan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Mariano Soin in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by PENAYOFC's Aristides Behe. After a defensive mix-up in Honor y Gloria FC's zone, Herminio Eliu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Errolan came out of the goal and Herminio Eliu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Desiderio Nofre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Intxixu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Nofre in the 53rd minute of play. Dante Errolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Eliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Desiderio Nofre fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Desiderio Nofre hit a great ball. With his leg Dante Errolan managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when PENAYOFC's Herminio Eliu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Honor y Gloria FC's Lucio Sustrai got a free kick in the 65th minute. Dante Errolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Eliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Jacinto Perez's late challenge caught a Honor y Gloria FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacinto Perez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th minute, Jacinto Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herminio Eliu in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dante Errolan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. PENAYOFC's Herminio Eliu got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Intxixu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Nofre in the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, PENAYOFC's goal looked a bit too open when Desiderio Nofre came free, but Alfredo Intxixu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Desiderio Nofre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Intxixu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the PENAYOFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Honor y Gloria FC.
